Suthar Studio ("we", "us", or "our") operates the ScrapBoard mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). This may occur when you choose to use our Cloud Sync features. Information may include:

  • Email address (via Google Sign-In)
  • First name and last name
  • Profile picture

Usage Data

We may also collect information that your device sends whenever you visit our Service ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other diagnostic data.

App Content Data

ScrapBoard is designed as a personal journaling and notes app.

  • Local Storage: By default, your entries, markdown notes, audio recordings, and images are saved locally on your device. We do not have access to these files.
  • Cloud Sync: If you choose to enable Cloud Sync via Google Sign-In, your app data will be securely backed up to your personal Google Drive account. We do not read, sell, or distribute your private journal entries.

2. Use of Data

Suthar Studio uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service.
  • To notify you about changes to our Service.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so (e.g., Cloud Sync).
  • To provide customer care and support.
  • To provide analysis or valuable information so that we can improve the Service.
  • To monitor the usage of the Service (via Firebase Analytics).
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues (via Firebase Crashlytics).

3. Third-Party Services

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. The Service uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

4. Biometric Authentication & Security

Our Service utilizes device-level security (such as Fingerprint or Face ID) for features like the App Lock. These biometric details are processed entirely on your device using your operating system's native security framework. Suthar Studio does not collect, store, or transmit your biometric data.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data and files, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Permissions

In order to provide certain features, ScrapBoard may request the following device permissions:

  • Storage/Photos Access: Required to attach images to your notes and templates.
  • Microphone Access: Required strictly when using the Audio Memo recording feature.

You can enable or disable these permissions at any time through your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
