Suthar Studio ("we", "us", or "our") operates the ZenMode mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information Collection And Use

ZenMode is designed as a minimalist launcher focused on digital wellbeing and local device execution. We prioritize your privacy and minimize data collection.

Types of Data Collected

Local Device Data (Not Transmitted Off-Device) To function correctly as a launcher and digital wellbeing tool, the App requires certain permissions to access data locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties:

  • Installed Applications: To display your apps in the app drawer and allow you to select "Priority Apps".
  • App Usage Data (UsageStatsManager): If enabled, to track your screen time, provide digital wellbeing insights, and enforce focus mechanisms.
  • Device State: To handle custom screen turning off/on, applying grayscale filters, and muting notifications.

Personal Data We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or location data.

Analytical Data / Crash Reports We may use third-party services (like Google Play Console analytics or Firebase Crashlytics) simply to monitor crashes and understand general adoption (e.g., number of downloads). This information is aggregated and completely anonymized.

2. Use of Data

We use the locally processed information for various core purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the core Launcher functionality.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our App when you choose to do so (such as setting up digital detox schedules).
  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues ensuring the App runs fast and efficiently.

3. Data Storage and Security

All configuration settings (your chosen apps, customized themes, schedules) are stored safely and locally on your device via secure standard preferences mechanisms. We do not store your data on external servers. As such, the security of this data is subject to the general security of your physical device.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your private usage data to outside parties.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
